Box Hill v Sandy
Here's my first post for a while! Life's been a bit hectic, just haven't had time to spend on the puter! What a great day at the footy! Sensational win today, in front of what i thought was a great crowd, especially considering the weather! Box Hill worked really hard for this victory after a great first term, and held on in the final term, with Sandy really pressing. Thought Moss was great early, though he faded, Thorp is going to be a star, great to see Gooch back and providing great pressure and kicking a goal, Nick Smith was good, Thurgood did some important things, we just stuck to the task all day. Took control of the ball for the 2nd half of the 3rd term, though we didn't pile on the goals, it was important, as Sandy started the 2nd half looking dangerous. Funny old season, beating last years grand finalists, and today, we didn't have any AFL stars playing, it was a great combination of Hawthorn's and Box HIll's youth, with a bit of Box HIll experience in Height, Ball and Nick Smith, who's really settling into the team now. Go Stanga's! Big 2nd half of the season! Gotta beat Frankston at home!

Oh yeah, gotta add Beau Muston, he was great today too. Really looks like a player!

Wouldnt get too carried away a combination of very bad weather conditions and Sandys poor kicking for goal were the main contributing factors.Box Hill only won one quarter.!

:D Box Hill played the conditions better and Sandy kicked badly but tried very hard to bridge the gap in the second half but Hawks were too strong on the day. Now we must focus on the Borough as this will be a real humdinger now as Sandy have lost 2 of their last three games and will want to get some confidence back in the team as only a win will do that. go zebs zebra

I'm entitled to get carried away! We can play great footy! We've beaten Geelong away and now Sandy . . . we're capable of doing some damage. Not the most talented bunch . . . but they do work hard. You'd reckon Sandy would be used to such conditions at their ground!

Box Hill are the giant killers this year.

:D Stanga not really we don't get those conditions as bad as they were Sunday that often unless you are out in a dinghy on the bay but no excuse Box Hill used them well. go zebs zebra

Stanga that wasn't you being dragged away by about 3 or 4 cops after the game was it?

Nah, i was just next to that, his mate had a tear in is eye as he tried to talk the cops into letting his mate go. What'd he do? Did anyone else see the little kid run onto the ground in the last term, only for an embarrassed dad to run on and retrieve him? That'd be $6000 at Telstra Dome! How come whenever i go to Sandy, them's the conditions? Thought it must be the norm. Always leave soggy! But happy!
