VFL State Jumper.
G'day all, Trying my luck here as I don't want to support the AFL to much if I don't have to. I have been looking around the traps for a few years, trying to get hold of a Big V state jumper. I regularly go to SA and WA to visit mates and inlaws, I want to wear a Big V jumper with pride and stick it up them. I see that the AFL are pushing their one for the "Hall of Fame Tribute Match" but I would prefer one with the old VFL symbol on it instead of the AFL symbol and all it's corporate sponsorship. Any tips on where I may be able to buy one? Thanks, spence

Give Kombat sports wear, who provide the VFL with jumpers a call and see how you go. Maybe even contact the VFL directly.

Hey Spence, Let us know how you go with the search for a VFL Big V jumper - I'm also keen to give it to the other states, but the AFL big V jumper is definitely a last resort...

Definitely get in contact with AFL Victoria. I'd like to get one as well, so do reply letting us know how you go!

The SANFL are giving theirs away as a prize! http://www.messengernorth.com.au/article/2008/05/06/4824_north_sports.html
Win a signed state jumper 06May08 DOES the sight of 22 red state jumpers taking the field get you fired up? Should state-of-origin footy become a regular part of the the calendar at the highest level? Whatever your feelings towards state footy, Messenger Newspapers wants to hear them. In the lead-up to the SANFL v VFL state match on May 31, the Messenger and the SANFL are thrilled to be giving away a state guernsey, signed by all 25 members of the 2008 state squad. For your chance to win, log on to messengernews.com.au and let the world know why state footy brings out the best in the football world. Or let us know why it belongs on the scrap-heap. Is state footy simply a burden on clubs who have to cop their players being injured? Is state footy relevant in an age where players are drafted off to interstate clubs, or change clubs in search of an extra dollar?
Well I got this back from AFLVIC:- "We don't actually sell the VFL state jumper, however, if you contact KOMBAT clothing at http://www.kombat.com.au/contact.php they will be able to assist. They are the official onfield apparel suppliers for the VFL." So I contacted kombat through their contact page, got an automated reply telling me if I had not heard anything within a day to resubmit. So I have not heard in eight days so I resubmitted. If I got a signed jumper of any type I would not be able to wear it. I just want one to flaunt in front of my interstate mates :) Lets hope they have something.

Well I heard from the bloke at Kombat today. He is going to see what constitutes a minimum order and let me know. He reckons the manufacture order of jumpers for the state game may already be complete. Put your name down here if interested and that will help me guage the numbers.

Got a reply from Kombat again. We can get them made if there are 10 or more. Price will be under $55. So put your names in here and we will get some Vic pride happening. Maybe need to post this in some other areas of the forum and drum up some more interest. I would hate anyone to miss out. I will leave that part to you NorthPort. Thanks, spence

If they send you an image of the jumper, let me know I will put a piece up on the front page. PS. Put me down for 2 jumpers now - Large / 105cm.

Hey Spence, Nice work tracking down the jumpers. At $55 you can put me down for two of them as well. One Large and One Extra Large Please.
