Vics will be far too strong. Should win easily as it will be pretty hard to see QLD bowl out the Vics twice and score more runs.
Upsets do happen but I would be very very surprised.

The Shield final should be at the MCG. Regardless of the significance of the event on Saturday at the MCG, the ground is the Vics home and it's a cricket ground!!!

I went to a few days of the last final the Vics played at the G, it was a great few days. Won't be going to the Junction unless it looks close on Monday or Tuesday I might take a late lunch and wander down in my break at work. But with it being live on Fox I may as well just watch it on the box.

I will try to get along to see some of the action, just not sure which day yet considering that I am back at uni etc.

You'll be hard pressed to find many who enjoy their cricket more than myself, and yet I'm still choosing to go to the concert at the 'G over the Junction Oval.

Neither venue is perfect. The MCG is really now a footy ground that doubles as a cricket venue, and yet the Junction Oval - a lovely ground with a settled wicket block - is not exactly a spectator's dream, what with the Blackie and Ironmonger Stands being square of the wicket.

I might pop in on the Sunday, depending on how my local club's finals are going. Would be good to catch up with anyone who's thinking of getting along.

Vics 1/42

Could they have got the pitch any more closer to the St Kilda Rd boundary?

I suppose its even for both sides...

Those late wickets for Qld last night make the game a little more interesting, especially if the rain stays away today.

Play was Abandoned for the day at 2:05pm without a ball being bowled.

I will be surprised if play even got started on time tomorrow as the Junction Oval is one of the worst drying grounds in Melbourne.

Playing hours for the remaining 3 days 10:30am to 1pm,1:40pm to 4:10pm,4:30pm to 6:30pm.
