Hi all, new, forgot to introduce myself.

Gday All

Been registered on here for a couple of months now. Forgot to introduce myself.
Only young 20 years old, so im not an old "fossil" as you call yourselves. Follow Werribee, mainly because immediate family live there. My uncle is pretty well known with the club my cousin plays with the u/19 after doing a pre-season with the VFL squad. Plus a few players from my local club, Darley, play or have played with the 2s at Werribee. One of my school teachers played over 100 games for the Roosters, but always gave us footy players at school crap beacuse he played VFL, had abit of an ego about him, made us watch the 2008 VFL grand final in class while we passed his medal around the class.

Stumbled across this site looking for a copy of the 2006 grand Final. After i refused to pay the ABC $49. George vfa happily helped me out. Just like watching the Local footy better than the AFL. Cheers.

oh and the guy in my display pic is Clint Bizzell. I have no idea why.

Welcome Darley, George is certainly the man when it comes to history and videos of any league in Australia.
Can you give me the initials of your school teacher ? Im guessing JS

Welcome aboard Darley92 that story about the school teacher making the class watch his game and pass the medal around made me laugh out loud!

Not a bad story Darley!

I remember when I was in primary school and we had a Port player named Paul Clohesy come to our school every friday afternoon and coach us for football.
We all played at Port Colts in the morning then went over to watch the Borough in the afternoon. Good times!!

He was a top bloke but didnt have any premiership medalions to bring in unfortunatly.

Yes Rooster, you guessed right. All in all, he is a good bloke. If ya had a crack had him, he would shut you down straight away.

Digs, ill look around for a new dp to replace "sandy legendd" Clint Bizzell.

And cheers to everyone who has welcomed me aboard.

Welcome Darley92 I wonder if you remember a player named Robbie Cheevers who played for Darley Football Club around 4 years ago just for 1 year as he is the son of an old mate of mine and he also had a few season's playing at Port Melbourne.

Go Borough! 2011

Yes Rob Cheevers spent 2 years here.

Someone who old Seagulls fans may remember, Matt Cape, played seven years at Williamstown, captained the reserves to back to back flags and won the reserves best and fairest, plays here.

Yep, remember him well, played a few senior games also, and a good cricketer too, played in England in the off-season at least once i remember. Is his dad & grandparents (South Africans) still coming to watch him play? There was another guy who played one season at Willi and then went to Darley, an ex-Footscray player, just can't remember his name. Would have been a standout at that level.

Aaaaahhhhh, Keenan Reynolds I think his name was, or something similar. Knew it would come to me.
