If they can't get 15,000 next week they never will. Geelong to match Port early but the borough to run away in the second half from a tired but game cats.
Port will win back to back flags.

I'll stick my neck out again & tip closer to 20,000.
Both games very well attended over the weekend with Port especially finding supporters thay never thought they had, combined with the Cats supporters that have nothing to cheer about any more this year.
I think the bigger ground will suit Geelong better with them being able to utilise their pace to effect with first use of the ball from a dominant ruck combination.
Just for the record I said the same thing last year. !!!

Is Digs going to the GF ? If so Digs we will be meeting at the Great Western Hotel around midday. Hope you are right that will get closer to 20,000. My crowd estimate is 16,375.

First VFL Grand Final not involving any aligned side which may see more enthusiam for the game.

Was really surprised by the atmosphere at the development league grand final last weekend. Would have been 1,200 there for 1st quarter and lots of barracking from the stands as the game went on.

I've seen Coburg play at home a few times this year and apart from Collingwood game when it was Coburg past-players day they have struggled for support. To get that sought of crowd on the same day as the Edfl grand final shows that people want to see 'real teams' play and they will turn up to support local players.

Wouldn't be surprised if 20,000 turn up. The dome is Geelong's AFL Melbourne home ground and very acessible by train for those travelling via V-Line so should be lots of Geelong support.

Port wouldnt be certanties for this match esp as its at Docklands.

Hopefully the Geelong people get behind their team.

To get 20,000 + the VFL would need to ramp up the PR more than they have in the past and ABC TV should be promoting the game to the hilt.
