BILLY Driscoll is racing against time to be fit for North Ballarat's next assignment - a Victorian Football League preliminary final next Saturday.
Driscoll is doing everything asked of him to recover from a cracked heel.

However, he will face his biggest test at training on Wednesday.

EXCLUSIVE: WERRIBEE has reappointed Simon Atkins as coach, giving him a sixth season at the VFL club. Atkins, whose current contract finished at the end of the season, has been given a one-year contract extension.

The former Western Bulldogs and Fitzroy player delayed contract discussions earlier in the season to get the 2008 preliminary finalist through a form slump.
