The 1960 VFA Grand Final between Oakleigh v Sandringham which was televised by the abc does exist. See listing below. It was discovered in 1999 from the reels. In 2001 it was listed as lost. It is probably misplaced somewhere and hopefullt it will be found and then converted to DVD format. They are also on the lookout for more VFA stuff. The ABC are trying to slowly digitise all the old reels they have on their archives. It would be great if other VFA games bobbed up in these old reels. Billy, Zebraman, Zebra, Blackrocker and co, I would not give up on the 1962 VFA GF just yet.

It would be great if it was around even though Sandy got a decent flogging from the Oaks that day.
Oakleigh picked up some very handy VFL players just before June the 30th clearance deadline and they blended into a very good team by GF day. Most left the Oaks the following year
I'll keep you posted Billy. I'll never give up trying to unearth old VFA footage. The Oaks won by 10 goals against the zebras in the 1960 VFA GF. This was of course the last year before the Second Division was formed which lasted between 1961 to 1988.
Any luck?
