Lets get something happening to download the old games.

Reading these forums there are obviously some classic games of VFA out there. How about setting up some sort of bittorrent site to share these wonderful games of yesteryear?

Wonder how many home videos are out there that have not been uploaded on you tube. There would have been some old fashion 8mm or 16mm cameras floating around in the old days that we have never seen.
The Ch0 games I am not sure how many are around that we have not seen. Might be the odd VHS, Beta or Umatic tape still around. I am sure NAA would have some. Would definitely be Ch0 news bulletins from the weekends late 60s through to early 80s. Would be the sports reports including VFA results and brief highlights.

The Frazer mentioned as best for Port was the famous Mopsy Frazer who was Port CCoach.

The 40,000 crowd was an equal  record with the 1949 GF Williamstown v Oakleigh for the VFA at the Junction Oval and was never bettered.

1953 VFA GF

What has happened with the collection of videos that Fred Cook was said to have recorded off the telly each week? Hopefully they have been kept in some way so that we can still enjoy them.

I feel sad for some of the old Second Division clubs that didn't get too much TV time as some of the only footage they may have would be by a supporter at the club with a keenness to use a video camera and film the matches from the terrace or on a hill.
