Thanks Billy,

There's very few of us left these days, Hard to imagine the days when these forums were dominated by the Port faithful with just couple of loyal posters remaining.

Guess it's a sign of the times, !

Happy New Year to all - all the best of health and happiness I hope comes your way.

Theirs a couple of reasons I can see why this has happened Digs. When this forum first started their was no facebook therefore Port (and other fans) used this as their main platform for communicating. Most of these posters have now shifted to facebook. This forum is great but facebook defintelly has its advantages - one of which is that comments can be posted to a selected group where they are only visible to those in the group - therefore if people chose to air their dirty laundry or say something that they may not like others to hear then they can do so in the exclusivity of the group. At present I know theirs at least 4 facebook Port Melbourne pages including the official page, one of which has up to 200 messages on a Monday night during the season.

Another reason that a couple of Port Melbourne supporters have told me that they have stopped posting here is that they feel like that theirs some badgering of Port fans therefore they have chosen to stay away.

I'm suprised by how often when I tell people of this forum they have no clue that it exists. I know David has put effort into getting the word out that this forum exists by advertising in the Port Melbourne calendar and on some facebook pages but although I feel this forum is great i also think they are a thing of the past with fewer and fewer around thesedays.
