After 3 weeks off due to Illness can’t wait to be back with Frankston team in Sydney this weekend. Looks like it is going to be a wet one.
Looking forward to game at Tramway Ovsl tomorrow morning. Plenty of showers around Sydney.
Sydney 12-17(89) def Frankston 6-9(45) in horrendous conditions
Dolphins tried to play dry weather footy in a monsoon, always destined to fail. Josh Kennedy was dominant as you'd expect, but really the Swans won it by just moving the ball forward and without finesse, as you would. Only positive for the Dolphins was that they kept the game alive until the 10 minute mark of the last quarter despite their over-use of the footy all day. Was good to get down to the club and watch the game with some stalwarts. That should become a regular and publicised event for our interstate games.
An inspiring win down at Trevor Barker Beach Oval! Port Melbourne very impressive by all accounts. I was unable to attend today so will be relying on watching the replay tomorrow night.
I switched on to the stream late in the last quarter and it looked like a healthy crowd. Perhaps the good weather dragged a few more through the gates.
