Werribee will inflict gold coast first loss. Southport will be too good for box hill after flying home against gold coast to just miss out ladt week will be on the warpath. Williamstown will win over Carlton in Ben jolley's 300th game. Casey to thump north Melbourne. Port Melbourne to return to the winners circle under lights against the swans. Preston v Frankston is a toss up. Preston just.
Easily match of the round Werribee. V Gold Coast. If they win this one, I rate them as the best chance of a standalone premiership (I know Williamstown currently sit above them).
Having said that, I think there is good chance that we are looking at an all QLD final.

If Port cant beat Sydney they have a serious problem...
Preston vs Frankston should be a ripper. At home the much improved Ants should be too good in a close one.
I haven’t attended a game yet this season and looking through the fixture I’m not sure I will. I used to attend every game, I even went to the Gold Coast when Port played there in 2010.
My worst fears have come true as the VFL has become the AFL reserves by stealth. I don’t think any standalone teams will be there in 5 to 10 years.
If the Port game was at 2pm on Saturday or Sunday I would have gone this weekend. I have no interest in standing out at night when the temperature is less than 10 degrees.
G'day Comeng, I think it is inevitable that there will be some kind of a major shake-up is going to happen one way or the other.
You have been missed standing out at Port by me at least and I can understand it is a late night especially considering some of supporters live in rural locations too.
I'm all for having night games (at full brightness) but they really need to be fixtured early in the season and later in the season.
Without modern undercover seating, it's difficult to entice supporters to brave the elements.
Comeng has your passion for the club waned as well as your passion for the comp? I'd certainly same my interest in the competiton has dropped off, but I still love my club (despite having a few issues with bits and pieces).

An important win for Frankston away, upsetting the celebrations for the Bullants 40th anniversary of the 1983 Premiership. Preston looked to have had a strong turnout for the event.
Our very own Robbo would have been thrilled with what he saw and the Dolphins keep their slim chances alive with the victory.
Northern Bullants 8.6.54
Frankston 10.11.711

It was a good day out there. the rain held off except for a 5 min period at half time. Frankston probably could have won by more but a win is a win as hey say. It was nice celebrate a win in a milestone game.
No electronic scoreboard until half way thru last quarter. Small manual board used from quarter time.
What was the crowd like Robbo?

Probably close to 1000
Bit premature VFA - Ben Jolley plays his 300th against Preston next week
