Game of the Round in my books is Werribee v Casey Demons. Evenly matched sides both vying or a top 4 finish.
Assuming Port either don't make it or a knocked out at finals time, I reckon I'll jump on the 'bees bandwagon.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
Im on the Werribee and Willy wagon. I backed Willy at 100/1 preseason and backed up 3 weeks ago at 500/1. Probably cant win it this year but unbelievable odds for a team in the top 8 - currently 5th only 2 wins from top spot. Still 33/1 available.

Not that I'm much of a gambler these days, but are amazing odds for a team in the top 8.

PSA bus replacements on the frankston line this weekend
Had to put up with 3 months of bus replacements on belgrave lilydale line. Trains finally back which makes things easier getting to and from footy. Totally agree with Williamstown and werribee. Worth a punt at those odds.
i won't be going to the Sandy v Coburg game (5pm start) at Linton St. Most likely Sandy will be running around in St. K jumpers.
They must certainly would be Blackrocker. It's a shocking (and insulting) design in my opinion.

Another big scalp for Werribee, knocking off Casey today.
Tigers 16.10.106
Casey 12.6.78

Gold Coast giving Footscray a bit of a touch up, in a game which is probably a record for biggest distance from Victoria for a VFA/VFL game.

Just flicked on the TV.. The Zebs playing in an indigenous version of the clubs proper jumper. 👍

Saturdays winners in the VFL so...

And in the VFLW, the Borough break a three week losing streak to keep finals football hopes alive and well.

Frankston - Brisbane was a bit of an odd game. Brisbane had all the early running and jumped our boys. Then from about the 20 minute mark of the first the Dolphins brought the heat. From there it was a real scrap and I guarantee the Brisbane lads are feeling it today. I don't know what the tackle counts were, but it was utterly ferocious from both sides. The Dolphs did manage to pull within 13 points about ten minutes into the last, before running out of legs. Jackson Voss and Bailey Lambert were exceptional for Frankston, while Robertson, Lyons and Reville were probably Brisbane's best. Great to see Blake O'Leary on the park for what I think was his first game for the season. Will definitely add some bite up forward facing Carlton next weekend.
Frankston are a team that don't seem to drop their heads (at least from my view as an outsider).
Port Melbourne's season has slipped away I think. We played some pretty ordinary footy in patches and I think only going down by 13 points probably flattered us a little bit. After Wednesdays mid season draft (I think it's this week.) I think we will lose a couple of top liners.

Your right, some of the stuff Port did today was far from what you expect from VFL standards from costly turnovers to some terrible shots on goal (Geelong at times kicked pretty ordinary as well). We also struggle to win contested marks up forward and our long kicking most of the time saw Geelong regain possession.
I think it's fair to say that the team is playing below expectations, pre season predictions from non Port Melbourne followers were a lot more promising than what we have seen thus far.
Club said it was a 3 year project however it appears the improvement from last year is only marginal.

Williamstown have improved heaps from last year. If Oscar McDonald and Marty hore go on the mid season draft it would decimate the backline. Makes it so tough for the vfa clubs.
Werribee will have plenty jumping on the bandwagon come September including yours truly.
@ North Port

Exactly right - despite being a young inexperienced side with a number of players nowhere near VFL level they collectively give 110% every game. Still trying to work out how they kept the margin to 35 points against Brisbane. They were outclassed and kicked inaccurately again, but were absolutely fantastic at keeping the pressure on for 100 mins. We have been saying this for 3 years now, but this side only needs 3 or 4 players to be a force. Hopefully next year
Surprisingly Sandy wore their normal jumpers!
Thankfully nobody from Willi got drafted VFA
