Great fight by Port but just that tad bit off. Definitely NOW not looking as a team that is 6 losses and only a mere 2 wins, things appear to be coming together but it might be a tad too late.
Not sure who the port player was that reversed the free kick (after being awarded one ) by pushing his opponent but i hope he learms from his mistake- felt like that was a sliding door moment, from there the ball goes into the 50 and if it eventuates in a goal we are ahead. Thats life, thats what all the people say....

Mega, that was a mighty fine effort from the Borough and nearly the upset of the season to date.
We did enough to win, but just lacked that finishing polish. Couldn't fault our efforts. Just let down in some key moments.
Out of interest, so we know what the free kick tally in the end? The free kick reversal was pivotal in the late momentum shift back to the dogs.
Very health crowd there today which was good to see.

The free kick count was 24 footscray 25 Port. Felt that for a change the officiating for the majority of the game was generous towards Port, that seemed to even itself up in the last quarter though.
