The revenge tour is upon us. Tomorrow is an absolute must-win if we're to hold on to any chance of a finals berth, but to me it's a game we should be winning regardless of how the season pans out. The club's opening up a second entry gate and anticipating a big crowd (although the game isn't televised this year) so we need to be putting our best on display instead of that horror show we dished out last time.
Josh Smith is back into the side which is a massive boost, Josh Stern is playing his first game of the season, Ollie Moran listed as an emergency once again, and Josh Mounter makes his debut. So far I've found very little info on this guy other than he's been playing with Beaconsfield so if anyone knows more about him I'd love to know.
All I know about Josh Mounter is that they say he's an elite running half forward. Played at Sturt in 2022 then Box Hill listed last season. Plays his local footy at Beaconsfield.....his stats at Beacy last season - 16.3 disposals, 12.5 kicks, 11.5 uncontested possessions, 83.5% disposal efficiency, 5.5 marks per game. Is a Dolphins Academy project. He's been an emergency a few times this season, so I'm intrigued to see what he's got.
I'll be going to Frankston today. I expect the dolphins to win. In fact I think preston can also beat Richmond meaning that if both vfa teams Collingwood will be last out of 21 teams.

Frankston have won 6 games in a season for first time since 2013
Dolphs won six games two years ago didn't they? One more win and it will be the first time past six wins since 2008.
Dolphs did win six in 2022 and also won six games in 2021, albeit in a non-completed season. They're still close enough if they're good enough for finals this season. I think if they win four of their final five (Preston, Demons, Coburg, Port most likely) they will make it, however I'm not sure they're consistent enough to do that?
Still, all they can do right now is beat the Ants next week and move themselves a little bit closer. Willi could certainly do them a big favour by beating Sandy next week, and geez do the Gulls need a win for their own sake, have fallen away badly of late.
Preston and Casey I'm confident we'll beat, Coburg might challenge us but still a game we should win, Port is entirely dependent on what team shows up that day. They've been wildly inconsistent it seems.
I'll be satisfied if we're 10-8 but without a good percentage I don't know if that'll be enough to get us into finals. This is where the Sandringham loss might come back to haunt us as an 11-7 record would most likely get us a wildcard spot at minimum.
Great crowd at Frankston yesterday. Weather was superb. The atmosphere was electric. Plenty of past players there yesterday. Dolphins can definitely sneak in to the top 10. They have 5 matches left and finish season with a bye. Can win 3 but need to win 4 to make sure of September action.
Agree with you, Port has been very inconsistent they seem to play like champions one day and out if their depth the next. I wo der what brings such inconsistency in sporting teams... definitely not lack of ability in this case as they have shown that they can play.
