I see AFL have not published a crowd figure rumoured to be around 4000. Which would be the lowest since 1934.

Crowd was listed as 4500 Robbo.

The VFL need to find a better venue to accommodate small VFA crowds.  The last couple years the after-match presentation was held on the opposite side of the ground to where most of the crowd were. Those watching from home had a better view of the presentation the mugs who paid to go Princes Park,

It was an entertaining last quarter, particularly the final minutes with the 'Bees 6pts in front and the play in Southport forward zone. For a moment I was hoping for scores level at final siren and then into extended game.

With 4,500 it would have been better if played at Northport oval however it’s understandable that if two afl reserves sides play then it’s not practical for the game to be played in Port.

Great atmosphere around the ground with it building all day until the final climax.

As I left the game yesterday I thought Christ the vfl grand finals produce some classic games and yesterday was no exception. Well done to both sides once again proving that it’s not too hard to compete v the full time afl sides.

Two standalone teams produced a ripping grand final. Fantastic finish. Henderson likely to end up at Geelong like last years Norm Goss medallist Shaun Mannagh. Werribee has a young side and will no doubt feature again as will Southport who will be coached by Matthew Primus next year. Look out for Frankston next year especially if they can maintain majority of players and recruit a few for the positions that can assist the dolphins on gradually reaching greater heights next year and beyond.
