Those flags during the 2000s.. I remember how formidable the Zebras were. The club had talent across the ground and the club was flying both on and off-field with a strong following, particularly at home.
The club looks to have floundered since the St Kilda alignment with crowds falling right away, well before Covid became an issue.
I think one of the betting agencies in recent years did an advertisement featuring Nick Saunter ('I'm Nick Sautner and I win premierships') a great example of how well known he and the Zebras were during that peak period.

Never ever a Saunter fan, More clubs than Tiger Woods.
Can clearly remember him taking one of his countless dives staging for a soft free in the ten yard square costing Port a premiership when Fitzy was coach in 2004.
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

I remember that incident, Two goals scored without the ball being brought back for a centre bounce. I write, I realised that happened 20 years ago, time flies.
Yeah fairly sure it was Baird who just made the slightest contact and Sautner went down like he'd been shot.

Wasn't the first time. Skunk.!

Imagine saunter linng up on the likes of Alan Harper? Not my favourite player either. Reckon his nickname was pepi le pew LOL
You could argue Baird was defending himself as Sautner ran towards a stationary Baird who put out his shoulder defending himself believing they would collide.
