Port Melbourne v Southport under lights at north port oval? That would be worth going to for sure.

Look like they are spreading the Thursday night games around. Docklands (turd dome) have had a couple, Geelong v Coburg, Frankston v Richmond and Port Melbourne v Southport. Will be interested in going to Frankston and Port Melbourne for the night games. I am sure Williamstown will be getting a Thursday night time slot too for the Foxtel broadcast.

Additional temporary lighting  may be required. for Port v SouthPort night game. I can't recall a night game at North Port, the historians may provide information..

This will open up an opportunity for the Borough Brigade to tell us how good the Port facilities are

Hm another interesting selection along with the selection of Bristow from Malvern. Are these selections that Port are making from local clubs to ensure that they fill the minimum 6 players under the age of 21 requirements set by the VFL ? If so would Macenzie and Pappley of been good enough to get a game otherwise - i'm not saying they aren't good enough but wonder if anybody who knows enough about these players can give us their insights ? You also wonder if having minimum qty of young players compromises the standard of the comp. by playing players due to age rather than merrit.

Blackrocker - you are correct - temporary lighting is going to be installed for the Thursday night match. Playing a game on a weeknight, in the middle of winter, against a interstate opposition is a perfect scenario of getting a very small crowd and hurting the club economically. I'm all for night matches being played when they best suit - this fixturing was far from ideal - WHO IS RESPONSIBLE - DEATH PENALTY ! I need more sleep - MegaA = Mega Angry today !
