Body:
Was an extremely enjoyable night. Will be a certain attendee next season too.
The news of Andy Collins re-signing got a very good response from the crowd of approximately 180 people. He started a completely different culture at Box Hill compared to previous seasons and it's only right that he continues that assignment in '05.
Bailey was a deserving winner. Quiet achiever that was one of the most consistent and influential all year. The vote count was exciting, with a few guys being close to each other the whole way.
Height was probably unlucky to miss out by a vote, but the Greeks Behind the Goals crew will be pleased to know that he let out a "WHATAVICTORY" during his Runner Up speech.
Zac Dawson had a promising year. During his speech, he noted that next year he wants to play regular footy for Box Hills seniors and then ultimately play for Hawthorn. Will do good things.
Stoked that Nangers won the most courageous. This is a guy that has been at the club for a handful of years now and has gone fairly unrecognised. Gives everything humanly possible when on the field and I desperately hope he stays in '05.
The majority of the players that spoke had very positive things to say about keeping the playing group together for the coming seasons.
Glad Sammy Rudolph got an award. This kid should be rookie listed.
Some highlights:
-Seahorse's suit. Very suave.
-A certain Box Hill stats member proclaiming that we are a 'professionable' unit. Very Happy
-Zac Dawson getting an ovation in the mens room after winning his award.
-The highlights packages.
-The walk to the pub. Smile
-Spider Millwood busting a move.
-And so on and so forth!
Had a ball. Top occasion to catch up for a drink.
Bring on 2005. :)
