Hi new user here. Does anyone know if there is radio coverage of the Tasmania v Casey game. What station is broadcasting?
I dont think Tassy has any VFL Radio coverage down there. PS. Welcome to the site!

From reports i have heard it wasn't a too bad game of footy. Casey turned it over a bit accross half forward, and Tassie really worked hard to gain an edge at the stoppages. I heard the crowd while dissapointing in terms of numbers got pretty vocal and made for a good atmoshpere throughout the day (except when sscorps got a goal, apparently quiter than the dawn service). The G train reportadly had numbers in front of him all day and was unlucky on a couple of occasions nnot to get a free kick for holding. Kept plugging away. Dissapointed we lost that could have kept us in touch with you Willis and Nth Ballarats but a week off now and we take on the Bullants at home.
Good win for the Devils. the G Train (well held by Savage) was not a factor at all and won't be back in the AFL any time soon. Charlesworth was a worthy winner of best on ground medal. If the Devils keep this up prehaps they can sneak in to the finals?
I may have to eat my words We will see you in a fortnight

North Ballarat are going great guns! You must be stoked Must be working well with North Melbourne - it will be a tough ask for the Devils in a couple of weeks As a non aligned team, full of young guys who are supposed to be 'pedestrian' - the Devils were great to watch on Friday, showed a hell of a lot of spirit For a supporter you can not ask much more than the hoping they do all the tough stuff like chasing and keep doing so throughout a game - they are doing that

Chance for revenge against those dastardly Kangaroos.
Chance for revenge against those dastardly Kangaroos.
There wont be many of them. Maybe a good chance to remind George & Hardy that they have left a very good football club. Will you be making the trip ?

Don't think the Devils will win away at Ballarat. The Roosters have too much class (not counting any Kangaroos players there class less!) and I am happy if we are competitive and give it a good shake. Hopefully George and Hardy will make you regret losing them.

Yep North Ballarat are going very well - they are obviously a solid club. It is good that we can even contemplate the Devils having a chance of a win - last year was pretty depressing. Hardy and George have been great pick ups for the Devils - two young guys who are having a real crack and developing along with the rest of the Devils I agree with Thylacine reckon NB will be hard to beat and will be happy with a competitive effort over there There have been promotions for accommodation etc over there to Devils members so hopefully some Tasmanians get over there to support the Devils
Should be a good game Bellerive looks great - would be great to play on - like a bowling green; although the middle is still a tad hard with the cricket pitch Hazell is supposed to be playing this week - which should be good; did not look fit in the practice games. I am not overly confident as the players Casey have coming back from the Saints along with draft picks strengthen them - is Tim Mohr playing? Thylacine is right they need some blokes to be regular goal kickers - Derbyshire has been a big loss Hopefully they play with a bit of grunt and confidence this week
Bit crazy when you are relying on 17 year olds to hold the Devils forward line and the delivery of the ball is woeful to the forwards most of the time, then the coach gives the youngsters a huge spray in the local paper, then he expects them to come out & kick a bagful HELLOOOOOOOO -- If I was the Devils hierarchy I would have offered Derbyshire $1K a game to keep him, then the 17yr olds would have been great feeding off/from him & the experience he would have given them invaluable.... Just my opinion mind u. :?

Fair enough comment - the young guys need a bit of structrure to develop - except for a guy like Cornelius who is one of those great players who does the athletic stuff and the hard stuff instinctively will go very early in the draft. Good to see Hardy in the local rag saying he is happy he has made the move as he is getting opportunities he otherwise would not have had. Agree that they should of worked harder to keep Derbyshire and giving the young guys a spray in the local media is a doubtful way getting positive outcomes - have looked at coaches like Fitzgerald and Ayeres who do things a lot differently. Time will tell
