At the Port lunch last Sat, the president said that the Sandringham ground will be inspected this week, due to new turf laid in certain areas of the arena.Does anybody know the results,as the saints want the ground shut down for 2 months.
Craigieburn and Visy Park are out because there are triple header TAC cup games at those venues on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The other grounds that are possibly available are:
- Preston Oval
- Casey Fields
- Box Hill City Oval
Simple solution, play the game at Port, its not their fault the ground's unfit.
Reverse the Round 17 game to Sandy if the ground has improved sufficiently.
In many levels of cricket if a team doesnt have there ground ready and the weather has not been a factor they forfeit the match points.
How can this happen at VFL level? At a ground where they dont even play Cricket...
It should be transferred to Teac Oval and the groundsmen should get a kick up the arse. Wednesday night and both teams dont know where their playing on the weekend. What a joke!!

That would make the most sense I agree CGull. Surely that was the first option available. The same thing was done last season when Bendigo's QEO was ruled unfit
Was talking to a Sandy official today,he said the ground inspection is on tomorrow,[wednesday]

I believe the game will be shifted to Frankston if the ground doesnt come up.
The game will be moved from Sandy.
Sandy do not want the game at Port Melbourne.
Frankston ruled out as a possible venue as there is an MPNFL Triple Header there on Saturday.
How about Etihad Stadium, or, does Moorabbin an option?
* It's time to restore the VFA name.

Look I would rather play a game than get 4 points handed to me with out effort.
I want Port Melbourne Stand Alone to steam roll Sandy unlike many clubs in the VFL compition we want to win week in week out at all cost.
Not trying to put other teams down i'v got respect for other teams but i hope some time soon Sandy and Willy both stand alone
