BOX Hill Hawks will go into 2011 with a new senior coach after Brendon Bolton's promotion to a senior assistant at Hawthorn last week.
Bolton's elevation was announced at Box Hill's end-of-season presentation last Friday night.
The former Tasmanian led the Hawks to the finals in both his years in charge.
"He did an outstanding job at Box Hill and we weren't surprised some opportunities opened up for him at AFL level,'' Hawks president John Ure said.
"We're rapt he's become an assistant coach at Hawthorn.''
