JARROD McCorkell ensured skipper Adam Iacobucci’s 100th VFL game was one to remember, as his late behind helped the Northern Bullants edge out Port Melbourne by one point on Sunday.

The two sides are quickly making a tradition of tight encounters, with the Bullants’ win handing it redemption from Round 5’s five-point loss to the Borough.

Coach David Teague’s Bullants held the advantage most of the day, only to see the Borough edge ahead by three points come the final change.

In a nail-biting last quarter in which the lead changed hands several times, Port booted a behind to tie the scores with just seconds remaining on the clock.

The Bullants doggedly worked the ball down the other end, with midfielder McCorkell’s point from a kick on the boundary enough to clinch a win for his side.
