CGULL wins VFL tipping comp for 2009 Williamstown diehard Don 'Cgull' Quayle has had a huge weekend. He won the VFL tipping comp, his VFL team Williamstown knocked off arch rival Port Melbourne at Teac Oval and his AFL team Western Bulldogs beat Collingwood. Can't get any bigger. Don finished with 87 winners for the season and beat North Ballarat's Stanley 'Digger' Roberts by 2 tips who did well in his VFL debut tipping season. Digger finished in equal second place with Daniel Bourne an old Coburg Lions fan. The pair picked 85 winners for the season.
ALAN SCHUBACK WINS FINAL ROUND OF SIX WINNERS
There were several tipsters that picked six winners for the lucky last round. Alan selected 172 points which was 2 points shy off 174 for the Port Melbourne 66 v Williamstown 108 clash. Alan Schuback was venturing at Beach Road Oval when Bob Murray and Ian Cooper were running around at Sandringham Other tipsters to pick six included first year tipster the Roosters 'Digger' Stanley Roberts who had an aggregate score of 186 points. Shane 'Wicker' Ryan who also had six winners but an aggregate score of 213 points. Former Brunswick magpies diehard supporter Shane 'Wicker' Ryan also picked six winners in the previous round but has been just pipped due to the aggregate score. Shane was following Brunswick and cheering the likes of Barry 'Gabby' Nolan, Mal Toy, Mark 'Jacko' Jackson, Wayne Schimmelbusch and duel Brownlow medallist Keith Grieg. Arthur Paul picked six winners with an aggregate score of 151, Williamstown's Rockford (Filesy) tipped 209, Zebraman 184, Brad Jamison 198, Bulldog Billy Hector 147 and former Preston Bullants fan Arthur Morihovitis had 180 points.
