Personally, I wasn't aware of the allegedly 'toxic relationships between coaches and players'

I suspect the line in the subheading about 'toxic relationships between coaches and players' may be sloppy writing. In the body of the article, there's a line about 'claims of “toxic distrust” involving coaches and players', but the fullest quotation provided is the line from the club statement referring to distrust of the then-board by the coaches and players: 'There had also been a “toxic air and level of distrust involving the coaches and players against the then-board of directors” in 2024 and 2025, after multiple “unfortunate incidents”, the club said.' So the only claim of toxicity for which there is a definite source and a reasonably full quotation has the coaches and players on the same side, against the then-board. Which leads me to think that the implication of toxicity in the relationships among the coaches and players themselves is inaccurate, and the result of poor/clickbait-style writing, unless some clearly cited source does turn up to substantiate it.

Yeah it's the first I've heard of any toxicity between players and coaches, although it's possible that the Tarryn Thomas situation caused some friction within the playing and coaching groups. But it's pretty clear there was something not right about the previous board, given the club's language in its own public statements.
