NORTH Ballarat last night called up Nick Couch to make his VFL senior debut against Frankston at Frankston tomorrow.

Couch replaces Cruize Garlett, who is a late inclusion to cover the loss of Levi Greenwood in the North Melbourne line-up to play Collingwood tonight.

From Terang-Mortlake in the Hampden Football League and a former Geelong Falcon in the TAC Cup, he is in his first season with the Selkirk Roosters.

He is a nephew of Geelong great and 1989 Brownlow Medallist Paul Couch.

The 22-year-old agreed to join the Roosters after getting a phone call from North Ballarat coach Gerard FitzGerald late last year.

FitzGerald said Couch had shown a lot of poise in the reserves, averaging 25 touches and eight one percenters.
