BOX Hill has crash landed after last week's excellent Anzac Cup win over Coburg, losing to Werribee by 47 points in a poor showing at Chirnside Park on Sunday.
The Hawks trailed all day, behind by three goals at quarter-time, six at the half and nine after three quarters.
The Tigers were never threatened on the way to a 20.10 (130) to 11.17 (83) win.
Box Hill coach Damian Carroll said he was left "shattered" by his team's performance.
"We thought we were better than that," he said.
