BENDIGO BOMBERS: Not many teams would go from winless wooden spooners to potential finalists in one season but the Bombers are on track under new coach Shannon Grant.

The Bombers last week won their second consecutive match of the season - albeit with a flock of Essendon players - after 25 losses on the trot. Forward Mark Williams has been named for the clash with Geelong tomorrow at Skilled Stadium - in which they are every chance of winning their third straight.

Former Collingwood defender Jason Cloke and former Essendon and Adelaide midfielder Hayden Skipworth have made a difference along with skipper James Flaherty.

"The best thing about it is that it's an even spread," Grant said. We're not relying on three or four players to get us over the line."
