KARMICHAEL Hunt had one head coach at Broadbeach Oval last Saturday, three assistant coaches and between 4000 and 5000 enthusiastic self-appointed advisers lobbing their two bob's worth over the fence.
Right now their collective insights won't help his development as much as the opponent he plays on each week. Or his own ability to learn on the job.
Which is why he simply must play more footy.
The shortcomings in Hunt's game cannot be developed on the training track.
If Gold Coast coach Guy McKenna was to go ahead with his original plan of pulling him out of the VFL after this weekend, there would be no way he could play round 1 in the AFL next year.
