Ben Jolley's 300th senior VFL game this week. Played his first match in Round 1, 2005 for the Bendigo Bombers. Matthew Knights was his coach, Nick Carter his captain, Jordan Doering a teammate. Doering his staggered Jolly, 37, is still playing. 'Amazing achievement', he says.

What a phenomenal effort from Jolley. Quite rightly one of the greats of VFA/VFL football and to notch up such a milestone with the competition in its current state, being heavily focused on youth and short term careers while players chase AFL careers, its all the more impressive.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
Ben jolley is still playing good footy. What a legend.
Congrats to a true legend of the VFA/VFL!
I'll be out of town this weekend; else I would have went to the game. I have locked in the day for his record breaking 303rd game.
Yeah great effort Ben. Should be a special day for the Gulls fans.
