VFL Reserves GF - Williamstown vs Nth Ballarat
Promises to be a terrific clash this one. Two weeks ago when these sides met the match was decided in extra time at Point Gellibrand oval. Todd Medallist Steve Dinnell will be in action for the Roosters, and they appear to have a good mix of experience and youth in their side. Blokes like Gavin Miller, Danny Grellet and Ayden George always seem to play well when I see the Roosters. The rucks with Orren Stephenson and Nick Bye facing off against AFL draftee in waiting Scott Meyer from Williamstown will be a terrific battle as well. I have a feeling Fothergill-Round medallist Jackson Barling might have qualified for the reserves based on early season games. If he plays it adds further interest for those AFL scouts who make it along. Anyone going early for the big game? I'll get out of bed early and head along, I'm expecting a very close match.

Should be an absolute ripper , probably as good a CONTEST as the senior game for that matter. Soft spot for Nugget Shelton at Willy aside , I'll be hoping for a Roosters win if only to see young Stevie celebrate....the boy can go hard !!!

Haven't seen much of the seconds finals, but have a feeling that Nth Ballarat will turn the tables. Only going on the scores from the second semi where they had a big lead and lost. Given the final was played at Williamstown it would seem that it was good performance from the roosters.

Only my socks ZM ! I DID say as a contest , and I meant that. I reckon Ballarat are primed for this and will give Willy a hell of a contest. I wasn't trying to suggest that the standard would be comparable , just the contest. I reckon we're set for an absolute gun of a GF day , just hope to buggery we can get some bloody people there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd Semi at Willy was unusually calm weather with some light rain. It was Roosters Reserves 3rd loss to Willy this season, so Roosters deserve to win the Grand Final. I will be there watching Roosters win. Dunno how long I will stay during the Seniors match.

I understand the 2nd semi between NB and Willy was a draw and Willy only pulled away in the extra time that was played. Problem for 'Towners may be only having played one match in the last 4 weeks, as they had the bye in the final round of the season, then the 'rest' for finishing top in a final 5 the first week of the finals. Both games should be terrific.

This should be a great game, Williamstown have been the form team in the competition in reserve grade this year. One of our favourite sons at Werribee, Anthony Eames is coach of Williamstown.

It's joke he didn't get much of an opportunity at Box Hill, more reserves footy at the Roosters is not a true testament to this talented and hard working player.
