THE VFL released its 2010 draw recently, and it has provided some blockbuster clashes already for the Werribee Football Club.

The Tigers kick off their campaign away to the Box Hill Hawks, but the highlight early in the draw is Werribee’s first game against the new Gold Coast team, which will be held under lights at Chirnside Park on Anzac Day eve.

Coach Simon Atkins said it would be exciting to see the AFL’s newest installment playing in the VFL.

“That will be interesting (The Gold Coast game), there will be a bit of hype around it now that they’ve got players, and their list starting to come together.

“It’s a good one for us to start off with, people come and support the night games, but hopefully we can get a win with it.”

Atkins said the first half of the season would be important for the Tigers, given the league has handed them several away games early.
