GOLD Coast Football Club vice-captain Charlie Dixon believes his team has adapted quickly to the physicality of the VFL and would not be intimidated by last year's No.2 team Williamstown tomorrow.
The 19-year-old, who already towers over many of his opponents at 200cm, admitted his side took a lot of positives from last week's game against Port Melbourne, one being their hardness.
"It was a hot day and it was a pretty big transition from the Lions (reserves) game a couple of weeks before but it was a really physical game and I thought the boys did really well against the top four contenders from last year," said Dixon.
"I knew it was going to be on early, obviously there were a few bruised bodies after the game because it was pretty tough but it wasn't as physical as we expected.
