BOX HILL HAWKS: Hawthorn has pulled ruckman Simon Taylor out of tomorrow's cutthroat semi-final against Port Melbourne for ''precautionary reasons''.
Taylor has battled to return to full fitness since fracturing his leg in a pre-season match in which he returned prematurely against Sydney last month.
''You don't want anything happening to your big men this time of year so we just didn't want to take any risks,'' Hawks development coach Brendon Bolton said.
Rookie ruckman Luke Lowden is Taylor's replacement.
