A BREAKTHROUGH win has buoyed confidence and offered relief for North Ballarat Roosters in the VFL.
The reigning premier picked up its first premiership points of the season by 19 points against Werribee at Werribee on Saturday night.
Victory, before a vocal Tigers army, comes after two heavy losses at home and a Foxtel Cup match against East Perth to open the Selkirk Roosters' 2011 campaign.
Werribee dominated play, despite collecting 10 more possessions ? 390 to the Roosters' 380. However, the Tigers struggled to convert.
