[quote=Whitehorse rd]Pratt on board at Box Hill for 2012

Former North Melbourne defender Daniel Pratt has signed to play with Box Hill Hawks in 2012. Pratt, who played 119 AFL games for North Melbourne and Brisbane, will add significant experience to Box Hill’s defense and mid field.
With Sam Gibson (North Melbourne) and Adam Pattison (Hawthorn) being drafted in the AFL Rookie Draft last week and and other senior players Shaun Pollard and Haydn Kiel not returning to Box Hill in 2012, Senior Coach Damian Carroll was keen to recruit a player with senior AFL experience to City Oval. As well as being a senior player Pratt will also take on a coaching role with the Box Hill Hawks Academy that utilises Hawthorn’s training facilities at the Ricoh Centre.

Other new players to sign with Box Hill Hawks for 2012 include
Marc Lock: former Gold Coast Suns player and inaugural captain when they played VFL in 2010
Max Otten: Sydney Swans rookie in 2011 and brother of Adelaide Crows player Andy.
Matthew Scott: North Melbourne Rookie.
Kalem Post: Collingwood VFL team in 2011.
Jason Salopek: TAC Cup Dandenong Stingrays player in 2011

They join the following returning Box Hill Hawks players from 2011.
1st Year returning: Beau Muston, Josh Ralph, Taylor Gilchrist, Guy Phelps, Xavier Murphy, Ben Monkhorst, Tim Northe, Sam Cust, Daniel Cooper, Corey Cassidy, Jackson Bolton, Tom Cunningham
2nd Year returning: Brent Wallace, Michael Thompson, Liam Tobin, Jayden Cass, Luke Andrews, David Mirra, Ben Fagan, Aaron Johns, James Wilsen

Sadly most of those players will spend a lot of time in the VFL reserves with Hawthorn using the Box Hill seniors as their reserves team.

Box Hill actually averaged 12 VFL listed players last season each game. This was more than Sandringham and other full VFL aligned clubs. Who knows what 2012 will bring

Iacobucci has left Bullants a good source told me....
And can we stop referring to them as Box Hill now? It's really not Box Hill anymore.

Iacobucci will be a very good get for someone !!
One of the very very good VFL players in recent years.
Did I read somewhere where McCorkell had left also, if so it doesn't leave the great "Blues" with very much fabric.
They deserve all they get.

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

I don't blame Mccorkell and Iacobucci leaving the nee Bullants which are now CARLTON SLIMES. Yes agree that Box Hill should change their name to Hawthorn RESERVES.
Still reckon Fevola will line up for Frankston. One of Simon Goosey good matres is well and truly involved in the coaching of gridion where Fevola is keen to have a go. If he plays in the VFL it will be with Frankston. Would be great for the dolphins on and off the field if Fevola gets to Kars Street.

Happy new year all

I did notice something in the herald sun the other day mentioning $70,000. If that's the case it is a lot of money, especially for the dolphins to fork out.
Fevola could do what Akermanis did and slut around from club to club asking for big dollars in one off appearances.
His afl days are long gone and most likely vfl are gone too.

Reckon Fevola would be worth a punt...excuse the pun..

He did everything asked of him at Casey...didn't put a foot wrong...

Would love to have him at Sandy..

Iacobucci had a great 2010 GF i think it was. You could feel him lifting his team in the 3rd. Not enough help. Last of the Collingwood/Preston links sadly I'd say.

Iacobucci to Strathmore possibly ? 2011 Premiers with plenty of cash who have already recruited Ash Arrowsmith and horne from South Adelaide !! Local footy is killing VFL clubs by paying cash money when VFL Clubs have to pay PAYG and Super for all senior players (except for Frankston FC who have different rules !!)
