THE Bendigo Football Club proved far too strong for the North Ballarat Roosters on Saturday, winning their VFL practice match by 59 points at Selkirk Stadium.

Bendigo had 24 more scoring shots than the Roosters as it won 19.22 (136) to 12.5 (77).

The margin could have been more had Bendigo not kicked an inaccurate 4.11 in the last quarter while holding the Roosters scoreless.

Among the standout players for Bendigo were ruckman Tom Bellchambers and midfielder Nathan Lovett-Murray.
