Hi, would anyone know Waverley season Summary from every year when they were in the VFA
as in ladder position, home & away wins/losses and finals wins/losses year by year

There is a book called 'The VFA' by Marc Fiddian that outlines every season Waverley competed from 1961 through to 1987

Speaking of Waverley I still play super rules over 50s for Waverley warriors. We play at central reserve.i can send u results for the Waverley panthers in their vfa days 61 to 76

Great to hear that Central is still being used for AFL. I last played there in 87 and it was a great ground to play on if you liked to run, maybe not so good for Supers though.
Waverley Warriors hey, I might send some ex players down your way for a kick. I am currently playing Masters in Canberra having attended the National Carnival last year for QLD.

I remember riding my bike up to central reserve in the early 1980's to watch Box Hill play Waverley a couple of times. Was a good ground with a big scoreboard. did get a bit muddy in winter. Nothing compared to Dandenong though. Would have thought Waverley may been one team to survive. Was sad to see them go.

Another Marc Fiddian book, PANTHERS ON THE PROWL, a history of the Waverley Football Club, may be of some assistance.

Thanks for the message Cobra, I think I may have that book somewhere, I must look again for it. I have tried to locate and contact Marc Fiddian to advise him of the coming reunion, but have had no luck, if anyone has a recent email, would be much appreciated

No worries we could do with more numbers. This season we have over 35 reserves and over 50s. Not ever easy recruiting players for super rules. I played full back yesterday in the over 50s. Bit sore around the knees. Usually takes me a few days to recover. Yes it certainly is a big ground. Considering how much rain we had the ground was in very good condition yesterday. The grounds have improved a lot since when the panthers last played in the VFA in 1987.

Here is our website.

Who was Waverleys good full forward of the 80's? I remember going to watch Caulfied v Waverley and he'd beat us single handed every time. Cant remember his name for the life of me.....
