Sounds as though no radio broadcast on 3RPH etc. again, today. Due to start at 12.30pm, but no mention of football.
The VFL refuse to explain why broadcasts have been stopped but still advertise them as being on.
Just as well it was broadcast, being so close. But it is extremely annoying to hear the morons, who should know better, raving about players going to the "seniors". The implication is that VFL football is junior football. They call it "VFL radio", so the VFL must educate the brain-dead broadcasters that the VFL Senior teams are already playing Senior football. Players from VFL clubs may go to play AFL games. That is totally different to play in the "seniors".
Not exactly "no radio", but really stupid 'planning' to have today's broadcast chopped before the match concluded. The winner was not in doubt at the stage it was chopped, but the final scores were not available to listeners.
Not ideal that it chopped off at 5pm, I think the game only went a minute longer than that.
In their defence the breaks were long - 3/4 time went for nearly 9 minutes, with such a big crowd there today (especially at the Collingwood huddle) it seemed to take a lot of time to get people off the ground.

I have a feeling the switch over from live broadcast to 'regular programming' is automated. So once 5pm hit, the music automation at Aussie Digital Radio took over.
For the fourth time this season the advertised radio broadcast did not occur.
There was just usual RPH programming on 3RPH 1179, instead of Collingwood v Sandringham. This is very unsatisfactory, but the VFL will never explain why the broadcasts were not on.

I believe only Sunday games are aired on 3RPH (as part of their deal).
To quote from round 20 Record: VFL Radio "and on Vision Australia Radio on 1179AM".
Next game: Finals football Saturday and Sunday".
That implies that 3RPH net was to broadcast Saturday and Sunday. It is not much use having it only on digital radio given its very poor coverage.
VFL web site still says next games are round 19 and round 20.
Yeah wondered why, I tuned in but no coverage....

Well, well, well --- 3RPH suddenly went to the football!! It sounded like mid-comments.
