NORTH Ballarat's Myles Sewell is the Victorian Football League best and fairest.
Sewell last night polled 18 votes to capture the time honoured JJ Liston Trophy.
The Roosters premiership player finished with 18 votes - two clear of Werribee Tigers youngster Michael Barlow.
Sewell clinched the award outright with two votes in North Ballarat's last home and away round victory over Sandringham.
He is the second North Ballarat player to win the JJ Liston Trophy - joining Julian Field, who claimed the VFL's highest individual honour in 2004.
A shocked Sewell described the win as surreal.
