FORMER Sydney premiership player Luke Ablett is fielding several offers from VFL clubs in a bid to resurrect his AFL career.
Port Melbourne, where Ablett played during Sydney's VFL alignment with the Borough in 2001 and 2002, is believed to be the frontrunner for his services, with Williamstown, Box Hill and Sandringham also in the market.
Ablett, 27, has told prospective clubs that he would be returning to Victoria to continue his football career and is poised to join his first cousin Nathan Ablett, who signed at Gold Coast, in the VFL system.
Ablett's manager, Alex McDonald, said he would speak with Ablett this week to determine the next chapter of his career.
