WILLIAMSTOWN today staged one of footballÂ’s great heists when it came from 45 points down to defeat western region rival Werribee at Point Gellibrand.

In a staggering comeback, the Seagulls slotted 11 goals to two in the final quarter to turn a 30-point deficit at the last change into a 26-point victory.

They’d kicked only nine goals in the preceding three quarters.

Out-of-favour Western Bulldog ruckman Willy Minson was at the front of the charge, repeatedly thumping the ball clear from the centre.
