I know it's only February, but does anyone know any more about the whereabouts of this years big day? I'm hoping Port, but i have to say that the atmos at Princes Park was great last year, but a full Port would be the way to go.
When the Whitten Oval's finished, i wonder if that would be suitable? They're turning the Dougy Hawkins wing into a grassy hill, instead of the syringe-filled, urine smelling concrete shed it was. (still thought it had character) Especially if Werribee or even willy got in the big one.
Or if some money was put into Coburg, fix the stand, a bit more cover, the ground already holds 15,000, a target the VFL should be aiming for.
Vic Park could be considered after its face lift. I know it has been tried, but the VFL umps are now going to be based there, it's pretty central, and it could look quite nice.
But spend some money on Port i reckon, all the lead up finals are there, and they are tight games, which would be great for the granny.
