The Tigers Latest Recruit- Scott Clouston
The Werribee Tigers are pleased to announce another key signing heading into the 2013 season. Former Brisbane Lion Scott Clouston joins the club from the Redland Bombers in Brisbane.
Scott has spent the last three seasons playing in the NEAFL, having been with the Lions before that where he played 2 AFL games.
Tigers coach Scott West is happy to snare the big forward.
“He is coming off a club Best and Fairest year and Team of the Year selection and is exactly the type of player we have been looking to add to our forward structure. He was very popular in Brisbane with his team mates and supporters, so he is a good fit at Avalon Airport Oval. He has recently moved locally for work and we are really happy he is joining us.”
Scott Clouston played 52 senior games for Redlands and last year, as well as winning the Redlands Best and Fairest, Scott won the Syd Guildford Trophy, an award voted by the club coaches and league officials as the best player in the NEAFL Northern Conference. He was also named centre half forward in the NEAFL Northern Conference Team of the Year and at State Level.
Clouston is looking forward to getting into the VFL action:
“I am really looking forward to meeting my new teammates and the opportunity to earn their respect prior to the commencement of the VFL season this year. I have appreciated the support and assistance Werribee FC has provided to me and the professionalism they have shown. The club had a great year in 2012 and I hope that I can contribute to the team’s success in 2013.
