The first draw of the year, but a game that the Dolphins should have won.
The Dolphins had final use of the breeze, but the Bullants simply stopped to a walk and but for some wayward kicking, [3.10] they would have recorded their first loss since round five were they lost in similiar fashion to Box Hill.
The Bullants dominated stages of the game but couldn't put Frankston away and nearly paid the ultimate price. Kicking with a 2-3 goal wind the Bullants were slow to start and even after kicking the last three goals of the term, the dolphins were still in touch at quarter time.
A feature of the first quarter was Frankston's field kicking, which was outstanding in the windy conditions. Maricgliani, Berry and Phibbs were good contributators up forward.
The Bullants played some of their best football for the game as they took they increased their quarter time lead out to 21 points by the main break. Kade Simpson and Jordan Bannister consistently worried the Dolphins with their pace and strengh respectively. Setanta O'Hailpin the best of the Bullant forwards kicking two goals for the term, after spending time in the ruck.
The Dolphins slowly pegged back the Bullants who had amassed a six goal mid-way through the third term, but most would have thought that the Bullants 21-point lead would have been enough to win the game.
But Frankston had other idea's and simply outrun the Bullants in the last quarter. Justin Berry's second goal of the game saw the Dolphins take a one point lead late in the game, but Longmuir levelled the score after missing a free kick, from 25-metres out from goal.
