Winners likely to be port to rebound over Frankston. Werribee is flying and at home will be far too good for box hill. Williamstown easily over coburg. Geelong easy over north. Richmond comfortably over Carlton seconds at the mcg curtain raiser. The other 2 games are harder to pick. Casey to win over Collingwood even at  Vic park due to the pies injuries. Essendon v Footscray no idea. Bombers maybe just only because of windy hill. The seagulls will be closer to the coveted second spot and a possible home final in week one.

I know you don't have any interest in AFL seconds George, but don't go to Windy Hill cause the game's at Footscray

Sorry my error. That swings the game around to the dogs favour. Still a toss up though.

A much needed but unimpressive win for Port Melbourne against a spirited Dolphins outfit. I'll try and be little more analytical later but getting the win does nothing to erase my doubts or concerns o er the Borough finals campaign.

Also, it was the smallest VFA/VFL crowd I have seen for many years.

Port would have to improve out of sight to be competitive in the finals on todays effort. They are a long long way short of Richmond, Willy and Footscray. Unbelievably, Frankston only kicked 2 goals 8 in the last 3 quarters and only lost by 15 points.

Dolphins pretty good again...solid four quarter effort. Didnt help being a man down for two and a half quarters. Nathan Freeman injured his groin half way through the second quarter. Lets hope they can hold it together for one  more week and give a good competitive showing against Casey and finish the year on a positive note.

Another shameful day for the 3 blind mice. Haretuku awarded a mark after marking his own kick! Good grief, dont they teach these blokes the rules? Looks like you are now allowed to push your opponent in the back in marking contests. Several blatant push outs let go today.

Very similar showing at Williamstown today, very small crowd on a bitterly cold day and an umipessive victory against a dogged Coburg outfit, a few goals at the end made the scoreboard look more impressive than the contest really was
