Yesterday's performance suggests they definitely are. Tough test next week against the Demons. Of their 10 games after that they have 7 against teams that are currently in the bottom eight. They should really lock in a top four spot if they perform to what they're capable of.
Werribee have a good mix of tall fowards, skillfull on ballers and good all round team. They fear no team. Definitely can give it a shake. If they do end up in top four come finals time they will be a serious premiership contender.
Will the current state of the VFL I think it is highly improbable that a standalone old VFA club will win the premiership. Bring back the ressies and I think it would be possible.
Port Melbourne have won twice and Williamstown won in 2015. I think Werribee can make it four wins for the old VFA teams. Why not ? They are good enough. Very well balanced team.
As recently as last year a stand alone (non EX VFA club) made it the grand final. I don't see the gap getting bigger now that the 6 players under 22 rule is gone, maybe the gap has grown with our club because at the moment we are a ok side but not as strong as our pre covid sides. The AFL clubs are not unbeatable, eh we beat Sydney by 10 goals but that doesn't happen every time we play AFL clubs, sometimes we obviously lose and when we do it's inevitable that people will once again be saying, ITS TOO HAAARD, THESE AFL CLUBS DOMINATE THE COMPETITION - the strength of the afl reserves clubs is often over exaggerated.

THE VFLS MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB - THE MIGHTY PORT MELBOURNE BOROUGH!
I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN, I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED, I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!
Majority of the Victorian AFL reserves teams are not unbeatable. They seem a lot weaker than past few seasons. Casey are not as good as 2023. Would rate both Brisbane and Gold Coast far better than all the Victorian AFL reserves teams. Werribee will give it an almighty shake. Williamstown have improved their team from last year by a country mile. McDonald and Hore are class defenders. They will also be very competitive come September. Not sure how far they can go but will be there in September.
If they finish top four they can win it, if not, I think it'd be a bridge too far. Frankston have a bunch of kids and were within 13 points of Brisbane late in the night yesterday. Werribee are much more polished than our boys, have a great mix of talls and mid size blokes and plenty of heart. They looked outstanding in grinding Casey down yesterday, and while they may not be the benchmark right now are still top 4 quality. Good luck Tigers, I personally hope you win it.
For sure. Werribee are definitely in the mix and good enough to go all the way.

Think werribee can give it an almighty shake.
Werribee a big chance - they looked awesome against Willi a few weeks back
