Body:
It seems Frankston are already looking toward next year with re-signings being announced tonight. Both Trent Mynott and Taine Barlow have signed on for next year, with Barlow apparently comitted for 2026 as well. So now begins the tracking of player movements going into the off-season.
Re-Signed:
- Trent Mynott - Taine Barlow - Tyson Milne
- Joe Lloyd - Tomoya Owens - Noah Gown
- Josh Smith - Matt Johnson - Taj Campbell-Farrell
- Angus Grant - Tom Murphy - Nick Burke
- Harrison Coe - Matt Nelson - Blake O'Leary
- Lachie Sharp - Jackson Voss - Ollie Moran
- Colby Nayna - Seb Quirk - George Grey
In:
- Bailey Lambert (Carlton) - Corey Ellison (Williamstown)
Out:
- Jack Newnes (Retired)
Fantastic to see them on the front foot and locking these guys in early. They have been slow to re-sign players in the past -probably financial related - which opens the doors for the cashed up local clubs to jump in and do their poaching.
Wonder if we can get Liam Reidy back for next year? He's been at Freo for 2 yrs and hasnt gotten a senior game so almost certain to be delisted.
Liam Reidy would be a great pickup if it's possible......mind you, I've absolutely loved Angus Grant's work this year, he's been a warrior for us and we wouldn't be playing finals if it weren't for him. Also we have Tom Roberts that we've still never really had a good look at.
Reidy could easily play as a forward. Agree, Angus has been sensational. Easily the most improved this year.
Club has just announce that Josh Smith and Matt Johnson have recommitted for 2025.
And we can add Taj Campbell-Farrell to that list.
Angus Grant has officially been re-signed.
Tom Murphy has officially re-committed just a day after winning Frankston's best-and-fairest award.
Watched the WAFL grand final, watched Peel's prelim last week as well.....Liam Reidy is a vital part of why Peel won the flag. He was a damn good ruckman at Frankston but he's another level altogether now. Can't imagine Frankston getting him back, but gee we'd be interesting with him in.....no disrespect to Angus Grant at all, who has been a warrior.
I thought he'd be delisted for sure - 2 years without a game, but he got to play the last 2 games for Freo due to an injury to Darcy. I saw an interview with Longmuir after those games and he said they were really happy with Reidy. He's not on Freo's delistings so hopefully for him he's been re-signed, but he will struggle to get a game with Darcy and Jackson well ahead of him.
Well here's one to add to the departure list. Jack Newnes has apparently retired from footy according to the club's socials.
I believe that there are no other major departures as yet. They still havent re-signed a lot of last years guys, but it looks very promising that we will hold onto most of last years list. Fingers crossed...
Jackson is very specific about the players he wants to sign for next year, and now you have to be invited to do pre-season at Frankston. With previous coaches it was a free for all, and anyone could rock up and try out. Hope he can get what/who he wants.
Bailey Lambert is returning to the club after a stint with Carlton and Noble Park
Nick Burke has re-signed.
Matt Nelson also on the re-signed list.
Can add O'Leary and Lachie Sharp to the list.
Player retention is excellent so far. Glad to see the club being proactive in keeping this list together.

Saw the announcement yesterday. Didn't have a chance to update as we were dealing with some issues while on holiday. Thanks for the reminder, I'll update the list.
Ollie Moran and Colby Nayna both re-signed.
George Grey has also re-signed for next year. Still a chance he gets picked up by an AFL club but happy to see Frankston is where he plans on being otherwise.
Paul Amy spruking Corey Ellison joining from Wili. Would be a fantastic get.
Club has just confirmed Corey Ellison will be joining from Williamstown.
Frankston council last week after last AFLW Game has began a 6 month ground restoration of Kinetic Stadium hopefully be completed around ANZAC Day 2025
Hope we can schedule as many of our home games after the work is done as possible. If we're forced to play games at Seaford the club will lose money on it.
