This may not be of interest to anyone (maybe we could look at a 'Where Are They Now' forum?), but I've just read that ex-Seagull Sam Cranage, and ex-Geelong skipper James Byrne, are playing in the Darwin comp for Waratahs.
Both got a mention in the match report from last nights game against the Tiwi Island Bombers, which was won by Waratahs, 30.15.195 to 8.10.64.
In fact, quite a few VFL players run around in the NTFL on occasions. There is even a fair spread of ex-AFL players having a run as well; Heath Black, Darryl White, Shannon Motlop and Shannon Rusca, to name those just off the top of my head.
Not sure how many current list VFL players are playing this year, but last year saw Jarrod Yound (Werribee) and Kris Barlow (Box Hill) play for Waratahs.
