Those of us who follow the VFL rely on Inside Football for our weekly fix of info and goss.
Sadly this year the reporting standard has dropped markedly. Week after week there are inaccuracies that could easily have been corrected prior to going to press by ringing the club(s) involved.
It seems to me that this week for instance the "review" of player performances in the State Game was based solely on stats. I'd be really surprised if the author was actually at the game.
A couple of weeks back it appears according to IF that in between getting 25 touches as a midfielder Ben Jolley doubled as the full back and kept Sauntner to 2 goals. What an effort!
The weekly one liners on the performance of AFL listed players going round in the VFL often doesn't correlate with what I see at games I attend.
I am obviously only noticing things from games that I have seen so how can I possibly place any credence in other reports?
Come on Inside Footy, lift your game.
