JJ Liston Trophy - 2009 top guns
Body:

Could history repeating itself with North Ballarat's Brett Goodes?
Goodes was outstanding last year.
He led the JJ Liston Trophy midway through the season only to be cut down by injury.
Even then he only missed out by a couple of votes.
Goodes is having another great season and it is a shame to see him out with a quadricep tear.
Hopefully he won't miss too many games.
The way the Roosters are warming to the task, he is sure to be getting plenty of competition for votes though.
North Melbourne veteran forward Corey Jones must polling well in the best and fairest.
He has made a huge impact and is unlucky not to be back in the AFL, but obviously Dean Laidley's youth policy means that only some major injuries will see Jones back with the Kangaroos.
Steve Clifton is burning in the midfield as well and should be attracting votes and Myles Sewell could be a dark horse.
Who are other early Liston Trophy contenders?
Any early tips?
